Found
is a numbered musical project series, emphasizing the
integration of cinematica with audio design pursuits from
an unrestricted pool of collaborators and resources and
the creation of original field recording. Forming fictitious
journeys through compelling source material, and by reproducing
sense-memories as impressions of sound, Found is devoted
to satisfying the total being, with adventures as expression
of our limitlessness for desire and experience. Rhythm
elements – such as loops and beds of human noise
– continual footsteps – remind us that no
sound is overtly musical or un-musical, except by association.
The only limitations around Found source is that the pieces
are composed first around a textual score (much like an
instruction piece), and that “found” sound
is an ample enough resource. When sounds are of indeterminate
origin, they may go uncredited until owners of copyright
masters are located; otherwise, Found is in the practise
of crediting – and creating – only legitimate
source.
