A Day with Rebecca Cole, Nationally Acclaimed Floral,
Garden
And Interior Designer in New York City
Spend a day with “one of the country’s top
designers”, according to Oprah. Rebecca Cole, host
of the Discovery Channel’s Surprise by Design
and contributor to the Today show
leads a busy life – quite a bit of it spent in NYC
tending her floral, garden and interior design business.
She’ll
start her day with Rebecca on her early morning jaunt
to the famed New York City Flower Market located on 28th
Street between 5th and 9th avenues.
Chances are she has never seen anything like it. She’ll
choose from the freshest and the very best flowers –
common and exotic alike – from around the world
before heading to Rebecca’s brownstone in the heart
of Greenwich Village for a four-hour, one-on-one lesson
in turning those fresh flowers into one of a kind arrangements.
Rebecca Cole’s
aesthetic is truly unique, and she has tips on everything
from creating the perfect floral arrangement for an intimate
dinner for two to designing events for 500 people with
flowers meant to impress the crème de la crème.
After the
private flower-arranging lesson, Rebecca invites her to
enjoy lunch at The Gramercy Tavern
located in the historic Gramercy Park neighborhood of
New York City. It is her favorite restaurant, not just
for its divine cuisine, but the extravagant floral arrangements
created by her friend and renowned floral designer, Roberta
Davida.
A day in the life of Rebecca Cole...
an exquisite gift, indeed!
