Strategic Web Development, Digital Portfolio & Site Refresh
London-based composer/multimedia artist Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner was gracious enough to invite Day For Night to enhance his informational site Scannerdot.com. This latest update emphasises a forensics approach to design production (and most importantly, making the site mobile device-friendly)!
The development strategy was to aim for the ultimate; providing a comprehensive e-Commerce page, further improving all shopping and downloading options, developing an exhaustive discography providing fan access to all matter of rich Scanner releases and downloadable media as possible, and by restoring a thirteen-year old archive of newsletters, which reveals a fascinatingly autobiographical track-back through the history of the international sound arts scene since 1994, as told from the voice of one of electronic music’s prime movers, collaborators, and orchestrators.
For such a diverse recording and performance artist, this represents still but a small portion of Scanner’s recorded artistic achievement, as we also for the first time embedded Robin’s Flickr photo gallery – to show the world what a wonderful eye the man has behind a lomographic or iPhone quad camera!
Experience the strikingly dark beauty of Scanner’s musical and personal work here:
Day For Night has designed an extension to the BBVD art deco dancehall venue; the site for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy to promote their 2012 album “Rattle Them Bones.”

Brand Experience, Digital Strategy & Custom Site Design
Day For Night Multimedia announces the redesign of the official website of trumpeter, bandleader, producer and A&M Records co-founder Herb Alpert. As frontman for the legendary Tijuana Brass, Alpert rose up the charts during the 1960s with over 15 top-ten hits; many of their singles and albums pushing the Beatles out of the #1 spot. With business partner Jerry Moss, he created the legendary A&M Records; leading the Artist-as-Label-Owner movement in independent music.
Designed in joint association with Jim Kelley Design Group, this site represents three key dimensions of Herb Alpert, through his Music, visual Art – Alpert is an accomplished sculptor and painter – and life.
Brand Development Strategy & Custom Content Managed Site

Day For Night, in association with Jim Kelley Design, led the web development team through initial content development for the website design and branding.

Artist, bandleader and music industry veteran Herb Alpert is also a philanthropist with a hands-on approach: the Herb Alpert Foundation envisions a world where all young people are blessed with opportunities that allow them to reach their potential and lead productive and fulfilling lives. Funding deserving arts and education programs selected by Alpert and his wife Lani Hall, the Herb Alpert Foundation is established its effectiveness in reaching groups and communities that would benefit most from such cultural assistance.
The new site was designed by Day For Night in joint association with Jim Kelley Design Group.
Video and Brand Experience Design
In 2004, artist Andy Lakey began to refine a collection of extraordinary work – Silhouettes & Shadows (“The Portraits”) – exploring a remarkable visual world revealed from the human form. Eric Scott (Day For Night) animated the opening site montage from paintings and stills, along with creating the custom underscore.
